UMAD Delivers Comfort & Joy at Christmas

Posted on Dec 21, 2012

Twelve (12) new beds were delivered to the “11th October” Orphanage in Skopje, Macedonia. “UMAD was thrilled to be part of this initiative to help the Skopje orphanage. Our goal this holiday season was to show to these children that someone cares for them, their warmth and happiness,” said UMAD President Tom Bayoff. “It gives us great joy that during this holiday season, these children will be able to sleep in warm, new beds.” The “11th October” Orphanage in Skopje is one of only two Orphanages in the entire country of Macedonia.

This effort was made possible from funds raised at our “Proud to be Macedonian” November Awards Dinner. UMAD was proud to be part of this larger initiative with the United Macedonian Diaspora. The combined effort totaled 25 new beds for the Orphanage. UMAD thanks the UMD for their aid & information in executing the project, and looks forward to continuing its support of the orphanage. If you would like to be involved in fundraising efforts for the Orphanage, UMAD would love to hear from you.
